Electric fishing reel for the disabled

  

This is a Zebco Z03 closed face fishing reel modified to include an electric motor, switch and speed control. In addition, the reel has an input for a pillow switch. Included are a 12 volt 3000mAh lithium ion battery and charger.

The reel may be used as a normal non-electric unit OR with the power assist mode. To use the reel, cast as normal, retrieve with the hand crank or power assist mode.

When a fish is on the line, the power assist will retrieve the fishing line just as you would using the hand crank i. By using the rod as leverage to slacken the line slightly while retrieving the fish with the motor driven crank.
