Zebco Cardinal 4 (ABU Cardinal 44) brand new complete set

For your consideration a brand new in box Zebco Cardinal 4 (marketed as ABU Cardinal 44 outside North America) by ABU Sweden stamped 067100 (manufactured in the month of June 1971 with no revisions). This is the version featured most in vintage Zebco ads. Never been mounted on a rod, never seen line. The paintwork is thinner and evenness less consistent for the earlier green Cardinals like this one (until ABU commenced operations at the Multo plant from 1975), the metal too is thinner especially around the reel foot at rod seat mounting ends. Comes in the more desirable (but brittle) larger green-gold cardboard box with styrofoam insert, correct manual with parts schema in very good condition, spare spool, unused oil bottle and wrench.

Spool arbor is corkwood and surviving rubber line holder still in good condition. The other line holder has disintegrated which explains the yellow residue on the body. Box has tears but is completely intact with no sections missing. This reel is 100% brand new unused condition, everything accompanying it is 100% genuine.
